Why Our Church

We are a local “congregation” of the Church of Christ.

We can be members of the same church today that Christ said He would build (Matthew 16:18)—the one that is found within the pages of the Bible. By doing what they did, we can become what they became—just Christians.

Unity in Christ Alone

Christ is the only Head of the Church. We are led locally by Elders.

Biblical Teaching

The Bible is our only source of doctrine. This is the Church you read about in the Bible.

Loving God

We worship God as the first Christians did; with prayer, singing, teaching & giving.

Loving people

Inspired by God's love, we have several ministries to serve others.

To glorify God by growing in Jesus, serving Jesus, and sharing Jesus with the world, with the help of the Holy Spirit.

OUR HISTORY

Jesus Christ founded the Church you read about in the Bible in 33AD. Since the first century many denominations/divisions had developed. In the early 1800's, a few men from various denominational backgrounds decided to go back-to-the-Bible, leaving any creeds other than the Bible. In this they sought to restore the unity of belief of the early Church. There is no national headquarters for the Church of Christ and each congregation is autonomous with the Bible as their only doctrinal guide. This unity in belief causes many to assume we are a denomination. Some call us non-denominational. We prefer un-denominational.
